Rt Hon Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North, joined Year 5 pupils at Mansbridge Primary in Southampton today to witness an award-winning financial education programme, delivered by the charity MyBnk on behalf of The Centre for Financial Capability

Ms Nokes joined the year 5 class for their ‘My Choices’ session, the second of the three sessions delivered by the charity MyBnk, and watched pupils get to grips with the importance of building positive money habits early in order to build stronger saving habits for later life, through learning how to budgeting and prioritise needs over wants.

Rt Hon Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North said:

“It was great to see the KickStart Money programme in action in my constituency at Mansbridge Primary School today.

“Money management is a vital life skill and, with research suggesting that attitudes to money are formed as young as seven, it is great to see this important initiative helping to equip children with the necessary financial skills for adult life. I look forward to seeing more KickStart Money sessions taking place in Romsey and Southampton North and encourage all primary schools to sign up to this excellent initiative.”
